Veteran. Conservative. Leader.
Raised to love his country and the U.S. Constitution, Ryan Spoon attended and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1998. He served as an active duty U.S. Army officer on domestic and foreign assignments. After leaving military service, Ryan never forgot his oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies." That mission continues today!
Ryan believes in being involved at all levels. The future belongs to those that show up, and Ryan wants to make sure that Idaho retains the same traditional values that made America great in the first place, for the sake of his children, and all current and future citizens of our great state.
As the father of four children, Ryan understands the value of education in keeping Idaho strong and successful. The College of Western Idaho has a tremendous role to play in preparing Idaho students for the workforce, whether here in Idaho or throughout the world. CWI graduates go on to serve in a wide variety of jobs, all of which support our industry and our community. Ryan wants to make sure those students have the best education possible, while keeping tuition as low as possible so as to provide these opportunities for all students of every background.
